I went into this book blind. Knew it was about the rise and fall of a rock band but that was it.

 

It’s in the style of an oral history. Plays out like documentary style interviews. Which means lots of characters with different point of views. In other books that can be too much. This was perfect.

Character development was very interesting to see as it was all of the characters moving forward on this path and changing over the years.

The last chunk of the book had me in tears. Camilla is my favorite character. The final note from her 😭 💔 oh my word. I honestly wasn’t sure I was going to like it. But at about the 100 page mark I was adjusted to the writing style and hooked.
