My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I read this book because it was recommended on TikTok. I rated it 3/5 stars, but could be 3.5.

The multiple points of view worked okay for me. Well two of them. The third was too much in my opinion.
I did like the one twist at chapter 18.
The authors first person writing was relatable and not annoying. First person can often leave the reader not liking the main character. I didn’t find myself doing that, I actually related to and liked her.
Dislikes:
It seemed very predictable.
It took until chapter 18 to have a twist. For a thriller, I feel like that should be in the beginning.
I did not feel on the edge of my seat about anything at any point, which is a must. Even if for just one scene.
Some of the twists seemed like not completely thought out, like the cake topper. It could’ve had more or at least made it more gut-wrenching.
For me this was more like domestic fiction (if that’s even a thing) than a thriller. So keep that in mind when reading. Don’t get into it wanting suspense and thrills. Maybe I just have high expectations for thrilling reads?
