Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
3.5 ⭐️
Taylor Jenkins Reid is an expert at creating authentic and deep characters. Honestly there are so many characters in Malibu Rising, it can be overwhelming. Lots of little details about characters that don’t really matter, but after finishing I realize it was to further set the tone. This story has a lot of heart. Not overly plot driven, the focus is on the Riva kids and what makes them tick, along with all those around them and what makes them tick. If you enjoy settings near the ocean and beautiful but flawed families and the 80s, give it a read.
