The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
A “boy who lived” kind of story. Thoroughly enjoyed watching Bod Owens grow up among ghosts in a graveyard. Gaiman draws me in every single time and this story was no exception. This story brought a smile to my lips and tears to my eyes on multiple occasions. Why don’t we have a film adaptation yet? There’s mythical beasts, paranormal, coming of age. All the things necessary for the screen. Would love to see it someday!
Edit to add: I’ve googled and it seems there’s been work done on a film adaptation but nothing solid yet.
